Water Fun!!!!

Grayson has been his busy usual self. Two weeks ago, we went to PBS Meet and Greet in the park. It was too fun. PBS puts on a big celebration every summer, with a parade, food, lots of booths and all their characters from their shows so that the little ones can meet them. Grayson met Arthur ( I was even excited to meet Arthur), Clifford, Calliou, and Curious George. Grandpa and Grandma went with us. They even had fun. It was a preview of what to expect when we all go to Disney in September. Grayson danced around the stage to some music and just had a wonderful time. It was a beautiful day. He loved the water fountains and just loves throwing in his penny.
We have been to the zoo a few times too with Daddy and Grandma. Grayson tried out the new splash pad at the zoo. He loves the water. We have also gone the the splash pad at Forrest Park, it's one of our favorites. Aunt Sarah came over the other day and we went to Dillon Park to play in the splash pad. Aunt Sarah had fun running through the water with Grayson.

Grayson has also been busy catching up with his play buddies. Holly, Palmer and Lily stopped over the other day for some play time and lunch. Then we went to Kameron's party last weekend. It was so much fun! I was mad at myself for leaving my camera behind...I NEVER forget my camera! It is always fun when they all get together! Not much has changed around here. We are looking forward to the 4th with the exception of all the news late into the evening! We will be going to my parents for their annual cookout. Have a great and safe holiday!

Proud to Present Squad!

Grayson would like to introduce to you ... Squad! Squad is his new bear. Squad was born 6/10/2008. Grayson adopted him from 'Build a Bear'! We had so much fun. Grayson ran all over the place trying out all the gadgets! First Grayson chose his animal, next he took it over to the stuffing machine. Grayson had to pick a heart for his bear and then kiss it before it was placed inside. Grayson stepped on the stuffing peddle while Miss Carol filled his bear. After stuffing, Grayson gave his bear a bath and a scrub and dried him off. He loved the drier peddle! Once Squad's bath was complete, Grayson picked out some clothes for his new friend. After we dressed Squad, we headed over to the computer to put in all Squad's information so they would know who is owner was. Grayson was given Squad's birth certificate and a box to bring him home in.

Grayson is just now at the perfect age to go in Build a Bear. He had gotten a gift card to there from his relatives in Tuscon Arizona, Aunt Marsh, Uncle Michael, Wesley and Micah. They always send Grayson fun packages in the mail! I even get excited opening them! Thanks to all of them, Grayson has Squad! He had so much fun and it was even more fun for me to watch him in all of his excitement! He sure loves his bear. He drug that huge box all the way to the car and wasn't about to let me help him! Squad even lays in Grayson's bed with Baby Tad.

Mommy and Me

Grayson and I have been on our own a bit with Marc's new opening. The last three weeks have been exciting and exhausting all in one. Marc is such a huge help with everything that with him working so much lately, it has been tough on us both but that is about to slow down as his employees develop. Grayson and I have been busy going to the zoo, parks, visiting Grandpa and Grandma, playing in the water, walking Macie and just having lots of fun! When Grayson and I went to the zoo the last time, he was really into the goats and they were into him. When we walked into the petting area, three came running over to him. I thought maybe he was the 'Goat Whisperer'.

We spent Memorial Day with Grandpa and Grandma. Grayson just loves going over to their house. Grandpa taught Grayson ladder golf. He loved playing the game and did pretty good for a two year old. We also celebrated Marc's birthday. Grayson helped open all the presents and blow out the candles. We always try to make Daddy's birthday a special one! :) Marc finally has gotten some days off. Grayson was having Daddy withdrawal so him and Marc spent the day together. They went to The Children's Museum together while I went to lunch and got a pedicure with my mother. It was a special treat!
Grayson got all dressed in his swim gear and we headed out for some fun in the sprinkler. We have an attachment that is a round tube the shoots water out in a circle. It is a lot of fun. Grayson and I both enjoyed running through it. Grayson has been playing lots of play dough as usual. The other day, he got out his hammer and saw to work on the play dough.

He is such a little singer! It is so cute to hear him sing songs while we are in the car. He hears a song once and knows how it goes. My mom said I was just like that when I was his age! Grayson is into Kenny Chesney and Brad Paisley at the moment. We have also been making our weekly trips to the library. They have a reading program for the summer. When we read books to him, we fill out his card and once he's read 10 books he gets a prize. We read so much, it took us one day to fill it up.
Grayson is also really into Spider Man as you all know. He woke up form his nap today and was singing, 'Spectacular Spider Man'. It's the song from the new cartoon. I was listening to him just laughing. Grayson got a power Jeep a couple of weeks ago. He does pretty good driving it. He had to warm up to it at first. He began by just sitting it the passenger seat, then moved on to the driver's seat and now actually drives it with a little help from us with steering. That in a nut shell is what has been going on in our lives.

Celebrating Mommy!!!

Mother's Day was a wonderful celebration! On Friday, Grayson gave me one of his presents that he had made. He painted a flower pot with cut out flowers that had a picture of himself on the flower! It melted my heart. He also made me a picture with his hand print and a poem. The hand print represented him and the heart on the hand was me. He is just so precious to me! On Thursday, Grayson and Marc treated me to dinner at my favorite place... Texas Road House!!! Yummy!!

On Sunday, Marc had to work for a bit so Grayson and I headed to the Children's Museum for a little Mommy and Grayson one on one for Mother's Day. When Marc got home, we headed over to my Mother's house to celebrate with my family and have dinner and cake. Grayson always loves going to his Grandparents house. There is always something new there for him! and not to mention, he is the center of attention!

Grayson made me laugh so hard today. He was pretending to be the trash man. He took several baskets and lined them up and told me, "Take out trash, trash man!" As he filled them up and dumped them over he kept announcing he was the trash man. He is fascinated when the trash truck comes every Monday. When he hears it, he runs to the window or around the corner if we are outside and waits anxiously waits for the trash man to return the garbage can so he can help me put them back in the garage. That's my little helper!

Grayson's new favorite song is 'Beautiful Boy'. He makes me play it over and over. I told him it was his song, just for him and he loves it. He likes the Beetles version and Celine Dion's too. Grayson is my music man. At breakfast we always listen to music (of his choice of course).

Wonderful news for my family. My Aunt Nan has been waiting for a liver transplant and today they called! She is having the procedure this evening. Please pray for her. It is a very long process even after the surgery. God is Great!!

Making Poo on Potty!!! Yea!!

We have a huge announcement to make... Grayson made poo on his potty!!! Now only those of you with toddlers can truly appreciate the excitement of making poo. It was a huge to do in our house. Grayson decided on Saturday evening he was going to start wearing his Pull Ups. Sunday evening we were taking a bath and he said, "Get on Potty!" I took him out and he said, "Poopy on Potty." I thought to myself, sure he is pretending to poop. He wanted me to read him his 'Potty Time with Bear' book while he sat on it. Not only did he poop but he peed too! We sang a huge song and called everyone to let them know! He told Grandpa and Grandma, Aunt Sarah and Uncle Mike, Palmer, Holly, Sherry, anyone he talked to. Monday we went and got a special prize from Target. Grayson wanted a 'Spectacular Spider Man' figure! We are so proud of him! We are just jazzed that he is wearing his Pull Ups!

Grayson has been up to his usual business. On Earth Day he helped Daddy plant another tree in our yard. We try to plant one each year. It's a fun tradition of ours. He also helped me plant lots of flowers. He looked so cute in his little gloves shoveling dirt. This past Saturday we went to The Children's Museum for the opening of the Super Heroes exhibit. On the first Saturday of each month members can come an hour early. We stayed for the appearance of Spider Man! Grayson was so excited to see Spidy! He also met the Ninja Turtles. He liked them also. I think Marc had as much fun as Grayson. Marc loves all that stuff (comic book heroes).

Grayson has made his rounds at the Zoo also. The weather has been great for that. He loves the Hippos. He has a few books about Hippos also. He also loves petting the sharks. What is a visit to the Zoo without stopping at the play ground! We have been really enjoying playing outside again. He asks every day, "Play Outside!" We have been spending a lot of time at the library too! He loves the fish and playing blocks! We went to Forrest Park the other day and met Palmer and Lily. Grayson and I had a picnic lunch before they arrived. We met with Jack last week at McDonald's to play. Aunt Sarah has a really neat play ground at her house too that Grayson loves. We just play a lot and enjoy every minute of being young! Happy Mother's Day to everyone! I am looking forward to Sunday with my favorite boys!!

Scooby Doo! Where are you!

Grayson has been keeping busy as usual. Last week was Palmer's 4th birthday party and they also moved over the weekend. Very sad to see them go but I know we will all stay close. Grayson hasn't walked down to their former house yet looking for Palmer and Lily. Palmer's party was all about Scooby Doo!! Yea! Grayson has also made a few stops to the Children's Museum. Grandma went with us this last time. Grandma bought Grayson a new Curious George book in the gift shop that is really neat. Grayson loves that monkey!

Grayson has also made trips to the library, that is always a fun free treat! He loves looking at the aquarium there and playing with the Lego table and counting steps as we walk up and down. He is getting really good with counting and ABC's. Daddy has been teaching him to count in Spanish. Grayson and Daddy flew their Spider Man kite the other day. I think Marc enjoyed it as much if not more than Grayson. Playing outside again had been so nice. Grayson now has a really nice swing set to play on thanks to Palmer and Lily. We are keeping it for the season. It is the one we want to buy so that works out great. We get to try it before we buy it. :) We already new we liked it from playing down at Palmer's.

We made a trip to the zoo yesterday. It was perfect! The weather could not have been any better. We began our adventure by petting the sharks. Grayson just loves that. We went by the petting farm and then to the desert. We observed the pretty flowers in bloom and fed the birds. We will be making many more trips with our pass this year. We will frequent it as much as we do the museum, until it gets really hot. But, they are adding a splash pad to the zoo. Fun! :) Grayson is at Mother's Day Out right now so I thought I would play a little catch up on blogging. Macie (our dog) got a walk all to herself today. It was a treat. Grayson is usually with us and these days, setting in the stroller to walk has not been a favorite. He is really good with walking and holding my hand, so I pretty much just let him walk where ever we go and bring the stroller or wagon (which he insists upon pulling) as back up in case he wants to rest.

Marc is getting ready to open up his Qdoba so things will get a little crazy around here for about a month or so. He will be working really hard getting that off and going. He will be at the new mall out here. Enjoy this weather and don't forget your sun screen! :)

The Easter Bunny Rock!

Wow! The month of March has come and gone. We celebrated Grandma's birthday. Grayson was all to excited to blow out the candles and open her cards and presents! We have actually been playing outside again here and there. All the gang is out and about again, romping around! :) Grayson has been enjoying his normal play dates. We went to 'That Fun Place' in Greenfield for pizza and games. It was busy for once with some of the schools already out for break.

Grayson also made a trip to the Children's Museum. The staircase was a slide again...Vacation Nation' they called it. Grayson got some sun glasses too! He loves Curious George as you can see. We had to make our normal stop at Play Scape! It was nice to be able to go again without worrying if Grayson would catch something from some other kid who was sick. We are finally over all of that! At least we have only had colds on a positive note accompanied with an ear infection.

Grayson loved Easter even more this year! He had so much fun coloring eggs. He wanted to do it all by himself. On Easter morning, Grayson was excited to go downstairs and see what the bunny had brought him. Finding hidden Easter eggs was even more fun. The Easter Bunny even made a trip to Grandpa and Grandma's with a special basket!

Well, we have a musician in the family. Grayson! and is he a natural. My parents have a drum set at their house that is made for toddlers. The last time we visited, Grandpa brought it up form the basement. Grayson hopped on there and played like he had been doing it for years. He even knew how to work the kick drum. He played a round and then stood up and bowed. How he knew that, I will never now but it was about the cutest thing I have ever seen. He was so proud of his concert performance, he even came back for the encore! He is our August Rush.

Grayson also got another hair cut. He does so well I am proud to say and thankful! We actually had them use the clippers not just around the neck and ears but all over (except the top). He looks like such a big boy even more so! Well, that is about it for now! Off to play and catch up on Arthur.
