Steaming Silliness

Well, the last few weeks have been a bit more chaotic than usual. First, our air conditioner went out (only being 5 yrs old). The coil had to be replaced which took about a week to do so. Grayson and I spent lots of time at Grandpa's house. That was lots of fun! Grayson is very intrigued with Grandpa's guitars! I thing Grandpa has finally found his family musician he has always wanted! When we finally got the air fixed which was during the week we had high 80's weather, our cat Lucky got really sick. The following week, Grayson and I both got sick! We both had sinus and ear problems. Grayson ended up missing his class this past Friday so he could stay home and get better. Now that we are on the mend finally, we have been catching up on playing outside and going to the museum. Grayson had not seen Palmer and Lily and Holly in so long! They all got to play together last evening now that everyone is feeling better including Lucky!

Grayson got the new Rascal Flatts CD and is loving it! He made me play it over and over! and also refused to get out of the car when the ride was over! I think he is their youngest, biggest fan! One of the songs on the CD is called "Bob that Head," it is so cute to watch him bob his head to it! Grayson is our little rock'n country boy!

Too Cool For School!

Well, I am happy to say that Grayson and I both made it through his first day with flying colors. When I took him into the building Friday morning, he was a bit apprehensive. I carried him down the hall and we hung his bag on the hook with his name above it. Once we walked into his room, he couldn't wait to get out of my arms! He recognised everything! He ran over to the toys and immediately began playing! I walked over and kissed him and told him I would see him in a bit, off I went. As I walked away, I heard no cries! That was a relief! I stuck around for about 10 min. making sure he didn't see me. I did hear many cries coming from the room but none from Grayson! Yea!! It was OK to leave. As I got in the car, I felt like some thing was missing! What would I do with myself and my day that did not revolve around my son. I have a much better appreciation for how Marc feels when he has to leave us all day and miss out! I understand! This was a part of Grayson's life that I (for once) was not a part of. When I picked him up, I couldn't wait to grab him up into my arms. He was crying when I walked in but she assured me that was the 1st time the whole morning! He also brought home some art work! What a big boy my baby has become!

Grayson and I went to the zoo on Wednesday. It was so beautiful! We had so much fun! He walked right over the the billy goats and pet them! We looked at monkeys and a baby elephant trying to stand with its mama. We also saw giraffes. Grayson enjoyed the play ground also. We will return again later next month for Zoo Boo!!

Our Little Boot Scooter!

Grayson loves his boots these days! He has become a real boot scooter! He puts his boots on every morning over his PJ's and runs all over the house just dancing and kicking! I love it! We put music on for him too and watch him go! He loves to listen to Jack Johnson's Curious George sound track and so do I. It is wonderful on the ears for both of us! Grayson even likes to show off in his boots for the video camera. The other morning, he took his trash out to the sidewalk for the trash man with his boots on!

We are getting ready for Friday. It will be here before we know it! We are still making frequent stops at The Children's Museum. We went with Daddy on Sunday and then Grayson and I went today. Wish us both luck on Friday. I am sure he will surprise me and just love it!

Meeting My Teachers

Today was a HUGE day for Grayson! He went to his school today to meet his teachers for the first time. I told him while we were getting ready that we were going to school today. He kept saying 'schoo' for school. He was so pumped! When we walked in the door, he wanted down right away! He ran over to the books. I took a lot of pictures (imagine that). He colored and ran all over going through all the toys, play house, shopping cart, telephones and play cars! I heard the teachers say, "Now that is what we like to see." I hope he does as well next Friday! It made me feel better seeing him jump right in!

Marc and I went to parent orientation last night. When Marc saw the room he said, "Shawn, Grayson is really going to like this!" I shall keep every one posted on next Friday! We picked up his back pack today. We got it embroidered with his name on it!

A Day In The Life of a King!

Typical day for Grayson; Eat breakfast at thrown (must have blueberry pancakes), watch a little television while eating some animal crackers, help the servants with their cleaning (because that is just the kind of King he is), and then pick up a few things at the grocery store since the family shopper called in for the day! Isn't it great to be King Mathias!!!!:)

Watch Me Play!

More fun photos of Grayson:)

Last Days of Summer

Grayson spent time this week at the Children's Museum. He has so much fun there! We went on Thursday for a bit. We also stopped by Grayson's class room at his school to visit. We met the director. I am so nervous about this whole thing; I feel like I made this huge mistake! I realise it is just one day a week for 4 hours but still, I am heart broken! Grayson loved his room, lots to do...books, puzzles, toys, play kitchen and play house, shopping carts and much more. Wednesday is open house for me and Marc and Thursday is when Grayson meets his teacher! Wow!

We also met with Palmer, Lilly and Holly at her Grandmother's for lunch and a swim. Grayson was jumping and splashing all over the place! He even went under until his face was submerged! I wasn't to sure about that but he seemed to enjoy it! Grayson has become quite an acrobat on the furniture and floor as you can see from his moves in the pic.

His friend Peyton stopped by for a visit last weekend! Grayson was happy to see him. Grayson spent Friday evening with Daddy. They usually go to Taylor's Bakery and then eat at McAlister's. I unfortunately, have passed a cold onto Grayson and Marc if you can believe that! Saturday, we went downtown for the fireworks festivities and picnic. We had a nice time eating on the blanket in the grass and walking around! Grayson enjoyed wrestling with daddy on the blanket. We decided to head over to the Children's Museum on Monday so Marc could spend the day there with us! Grayson showed daddy all his favorite spots, crawling through tunnels, playing with trains, digging in pretend dirt along with playing in the sand table and water table. This evening, we are headed over to some friends for a cookout. Grayson has also been dog watching Maggie (Jack's dog). He loves going over there and getting into Jack's toys! Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!
