Adventure Boy and Side Kick Mommy

Grayson has been to the Children's Museum twice this week. We went on Tuesday and when we got home, decided it would be beneficial to us to become members there. Today we went back to purchase our membership. We had a wonderful time! Grayson can do so many things now! He loves Play Scape and Science Works. So much to do! On Tuesday, we stopped in at Marc's store and had breakfast and then headed over to the museum! Grayson even sat in the race car at the museum and pretended to drive it as you can see from the photo. Grayson was exhausted when we left! He loves his daddy, that's for certain. He was heart broken when we left Marc's store and he did not come with us.

We also went to the State Fair last week. We went down to Marc's store and met him there and ate dinner at Qdoba on the circle, then off to the fair. Grayson got to watch the parade. One of the police officers gave him a sticker that looked like a badge. He stuck it on his hat where it remains currently. He really enjoyed all the tractors in the parade. We bought some ice cream but he isn't much into that, so we got to eat it all! He liked our Tea though. He thinks he is such a big boy when he drinks after us!

Grayson has also become a little dare devil. He spins around in circles until he is so dizzy, he falls to the ground laughing. He also likes to run across the room and lunge onto the ground. I think he wants to be a wrestler! He does something funny every day that just makes my day! Coloring has become his favorite too. It's so great to be at home and share all these moments with him! Wouldn't trade it!

Hercules

That is what we are calling our boy these days. He has become so strong! He tried pulling a dining room chair out the other day and threw it over, cracking it in about five different places! Luckily, our neighbor Lou, knew how to fix it. After repairing one, he decided to try out the landing on another chair, cracking it also. I never thought our boy would try destroying our furniture! Thank God for Lou or we would have to buy new chairs and I am sure he would try knocking those over too!

We had fun this week. There is a new child friendly place over here that just opened. It is called 'Bounce Zone'. We went yesterday. It has all inflatable play equipment to bounce on and romp around in, hence the word 'bounce'. Grayson met Lily and Palmer there. He had so much fun, him and Daddy went back last night.

We had our usual visit with Jack this week which is always fun. Grayson was putting the wrestling moves on him, wait until Jack gets the hang of it. Grayson will be in trouble! We also went to the YMCA for a play date and swimming with all the gang. Grayson has such a busy social calendar! He keeps me so busy.... already. Grayson also had his first go around with Play Dough. First, he wanted to try eating it but then realised it was not to eat. He also tried out his boots from Mexico that Lou and Chris bought him for his first Christmas. They are just his size now.

Back to School

Well, it is about that time for everyone! Grayson and I are looking forward to that! Everything won't be so crowded... yea! Grayson enjoys seeing the school buses go by as we walk. Walks have been very few these past weeks with the weather being so hot! We are keeping cool though! Going to Forrest Park has been our new thing. We met Jack and Kriste for some fun play time in the water.

Grayson got some new shoes this week. We went to Stride Rite. His feet have really grown this summer! I could not believe it. He is now a wide! They sure do have the cutest shoes! Saturday was a big day... Lily had her 1st birthday bash. It was so nice! Grayson couldn't stay long though. He had to catch his nap shortly after the party began. Grandma came over to watch him so Marc and I could see a movie, Transformers! We also went to Pin Heads , a really nice bowling alley over here with NO smoking allowed to play in the toddler area called, 'Play Alot'. It was a nice way to spend a scolding hot day!

Sunday we took Daddy to the splash pad to see what fun we always have! Grayson also helped Daddy mow the lawn. He likes to follow Marc with his bubble mower around the yard. Grayson has become such a little helper. He loves shaking out the trash bag to put into the trash can. He just makes me laugh at how much joy he gets out of helping me. He also loves giving the animals treats and feeding them. His latest thing is to feed his stuffed animal from the show 'Back Yardigans'....Pablo. That's Grayson's buddy.

Fun In The Summer Sun

Grayson has been keeping me busy with his social calendar as usual. We met Payton and Sue last Friday for breakfast and then went swimming at Ginger and Holly's, where Angie and her son Cameron met us also and Sherry, Lily and Palmer. It was fun! We had pizza and cake (to celebrate Sue's B-day), yum!

Our friend's Gavin and Aiden had a play group at Recreation Unlimited that we were invited to. It was so much fun! They had all kinds of play equipment, basketball goals, play houses and Thomas the Train tables! Wow, it was a real treat. There were about 15 of Gavin and Aiden's friends. We all ate lunch together. We had a pitch in with lots of great food.

We also met with Kriste and Jack a few times. We played at the splash pad one day and then went to Forrest Park another day. They have a great play ground and it is shaded. Grayson and I went to the splash park and the Forrest Park pool. Grayson had so much fun running through all the water! I got soaked too!

Thursday was an exciting day! Grayson got a package in the mail from Aunt Marsh and Uncle Michael. He was so excited to play with his new puzzle and music player they sent. He kept holding the player to his head and moving his head up and down to the beat! They also got him his 1st pair of big boy under wear! What an honor! We were so excited! You can tell Aunt Marsha has boys because everything she chose was just perfect! We are so happy to hear her surgery went well. God answered many prayers! We thank God all the time for our great friends and family!
