Tumble and Rumble

Grayson has been enjoying fun and play dates this summer! As you can see, Holly is sitting on Palmer's head while Grayson has tackled Palmer's body and Lily is sitting on Grayson. O-the fun! We all met for lunch and then some fun romping around! We have been busy between things breaking and keeping up with Grayson. Our water heater went out recently. Thanks to our wonderful and brilliant neighbor Lou, he installed a new one for us! He is such a giving neighbor!

Marc's store is doing well. He is enjoying his weekends off. We went to our neighborhood Buffett party on Tuesday! What fun! Lou and Chris throw a party every year! My friend Sherry and I went to the concert. Mommies Night Out! Lou and Chris' son John took us there and brought us home. He took very good care of us. It was nice to see him. It will be the last at Verizon so I am glad we decided at the last minute to attend.

Grandma came over the other evening so Marc and I could have a date night. We saw Harry Potter. It was very good. We are hoping for more date nights before we add an extension on to the family and it becomes even more difficult to get out. Grandma also went to the Hamilton County Fair with us. It was really clean and very family friendly! Grayson loved looking at the tractors and touching them but wasn't too sure about sitting on one!

Fun with Friends!

As usual, things never slow down so we try to take time and enjoy the moment. Grayson has been enjoying himself catching up with his friends since he has been home. He met some new friends over the weekend. We went to dinner with my friend Stacy and her family. She has 2 boys Gavin and Aiden. Grayson is attending their big play group at Recreation Unlimited on August 1st. We are looking forward to that!

Grayson has been playing with Palmer and Lillian and Holly. He loves the gang! Lillian is turning 1 on August 11th. She loves playing with Grayson since he is closer to her size and they like a lot of the same things. Grayson also met up with Peyton for breakfast last Friday. They had all kinds of fun running all around Clay Terrace. We enjoyed catching up with Sue and Peyton. I am looking forward to my next 'mommies night out'. Next Thursday is 'My Girlfriends Kitchen.' It is so much fun! We make dinners and taste food and drink wine!! Yea! and we get to dress up! Wow!

Summer is flying by. Can't wait for the State Fair!

Smokey Mountains

Grayson had a wonderful vacation! He slept great and did pretty well for 9 hours in the car, can't complain! We did get a bit lost our first night there, trying to find my parents chalet in the mountains but it all turned out great. We stayed at West Gate Resorts in the mountains. We have not been there in 3 years so our resort has changed a bit. They added a water park which was fantastic! Marc and Grayson had a blast. They also had a fun play ground just Grayson size and lots of fun at the pool outside.

The reunion was fun. It was great to see everyone! There is never enough time though! Too much to say and do and such little time especially when your time is dictated by a 20 month old. We all met to eat out at a BBQ place, great food and then at the Pancake Place. You can't go to Gatlinburg without eating there! It would be a sin. Grayson met a lot of people he had never seen or had not seen since he was a baby. He was a big ham and smiling and saying , "CHEESE," for all his pictures!

We had a safe return home. Now just getting back in the swing of things! We had a great 4th also. We went to my parents for a bit and then came home to get sleep for the big drive to Gatlinburg the next day. Now Grayson has been to the Ozark Mountains and the Smokey Mountains! Now we are ready for our vacation in the fall.

Playing at the Splash Pad

Grayson had a blast on Monday. We met Kriste and Jack at this new park with a splash pad. It was great! There were mommies and little ones every where! Grayson was excited to see Jack and Kriste! We had lunch there and then chased the boys around for the next 45 min. Grayson and Jack had fun running all through the sprinklers. There is a separate section with a neat playground. Grayson and Jack had fun playing in the mulch surrounding the play equipment. You know those boys!

We had so much fun, we went back today and met Sherry and Palmer and Lilly there! Lots of fun again. Lunch, and then more play time. Palmer is like a big brother to Grayson. Tomorrow we are going to meet Kriste and her family at a 4th of July festival in Sheridan, where Kriste is from. We are looking forward to it! Kriste said there is a parade also, fun! fun! We will meet up with Marc later since he has to work for a bit then head over to my parents after Grayson naps! Can't wait until Thursday, leaving for Gatlinburg! It will be Grayson's 2nd vacation!
