Buying a Potty

Grayson had a big day yesterday. He went to Toys R Us in the morning and bought a potty. He has become very interested in how every thing works, flushing, toilet paper and the toilet, etc. We decided to go ahead and get him one since he has been talking about it. We figure, he can get use to it, set on it and explore it. He will let us know when he is ready. No rush on our end, we just wanted to get him one since his interest has spiked with going to the bathroom. He is obsessed with his new potty books!

He also went swimming yesterday at his friend's Holly's. He had so much fun. Her Grandam's has all kinds of fun stuff in the basement also. He also played with Palmer. He looks up to him and thinks he is so much fun but Daddy is still his Super Hero. Well, Grayson is getting another molar on the bottom right now. Poor guy, I hope it isn't as ruff on him as last weeks molar. Last night it made him wake up so we shall see. We had to buy Grayson a new pool of his own fo rthe back yard, his blew away. As you can see, he loves it.

Grandpa and Grandma took us all out for a belated birthday dinner to The Loon Lake Lodge. It was yummy and fun for Grayson. They have all sorts of anamatronics, bears, raccoons. Grayson is really into dipping so that was all too exciting for him. He wanted to run around when he was finished, imagine that. I actually got to dress up. It was nice. Hope every one has a great 4th.

PBS Characters

Grayson as you can see, is crying because daddy had to leave the room for one minute. He sure loves Marc. When Marc is off on the weekends, he sticks to him like glue. I am the old shoe. He sees me every day, all day. Grayson is at Marc's store in the picture. We went down town on Saturday, to see the PBS characters. We were so excited to see Snook! He is the hairy animal on the stage. It was fun until it began to rain hard!

Grayson has had a bit of a ruff week. He got a new bottom molar that gave him much distress! It finally popped through on Sunday. I took him to the doctor on Friday because I thought he was sick. He woke up every 3 hours crying and screaming and had a fever. He kept pulling on his ears too. She said he looked fine and it was due to his teeth. Poor guy, he's never had it that bad. He is back to his normal self, sleeping 12 hours and is still taking his morning nap at this moment (it has been 2hours now). We are just thankful his is finally feeling better. It was hard on all of us!

Grayson has become such a good helper. He loves to sweep the floor. He sees mommy do it so much, he wants to try it also!

Father's Day

Keeping busy as usual! Father's Day was a nice day. We went out to lunch to celebrate Daddy. We ate at Texas Road House...yummy! Grayson had fun eating cheese fries and dipping everything in ranch. We all ate a lot but it was good. Afterward we went to Lowes and home for a nap before going to visit Grandpa, as Grayson calls him, Pa. It is too cute. We had ice cream that Grandpa made and then did lots of exploring, as he always does. Aunt Sarah was there also. He just loves her! He kept hugging her and gave her and Grandma kisses. He was so tired when we left, he crashed in the car. He hasn't done that in about a year!

Now we are just getting ready for vacation, buying new tires and all the other fun stuff. We can't wait! We leave on July 6th for Gatlinburg, TN. We can't wait to take Grayson. We haven't gone since before we were parents.

Pooling and Playing

These are photos of Grayson playing around the house and his visit with Jack

Mommy's Birthday

I had a great birthday! I was able to go shopping and walk around the mall by myself with Grayson dictating where we would go and how long we would stay. I missed him and Marc but some mommy time was really nice. When I got home, Grayson decided he was ready to get out and brought me his shoes and brought Daddy his. We went out to eat and then returned home for singing and cake! Yea! Grayson sure enjoyed the cake! I can't believe I am 34... Yikes! Grayson and Marc's cards were really sweet. I got big hugs from both of them! It was a good day!

Thanks for all the 'Happy Birthday' phone calls!

Visting The Children's Museum

Aunt Sarah came over today and went to the Children's Museum with us. Grayson was on a mission from the moment we walked in the door. He had a small melt down while waiting in line which took maybe 5min. It's a hard baby life! He ran all over the place like he owned it and the other people we there because he let them. He went up the stairs and ran until he little hearts desire! I am so glad Sarah came. No more setting in the stroller and me leading the way. He had a mind and mission all of his own. We went to 'Play Scape' first. He had so much fun. When we took him in the fall, there was only one area he could play in. Not this time, he could go any and every where! and he did!

Play Scape is a huge play room with every thing you could imagine a toddler would want and enjoy! He found the lawn mower like his and began getting a little possessive of certain areas so we decided it was time to exit and go some where else. It was a good visit. Grayson was wiped out when we left along with myself and Aunt Sarah.

First Dental Appointment!

Wow!! I was so anxious all day, awaiting his appointment! I felt awful, knowing I was going to take him some where I knew he would scream and not understand what or why I was doing this to him. I had been telling him all day, "Now, we are going to the dentist today and she is going to look at your teeth, count them, brush them and paint them with tooth vitamins and tell you how great they look." He would just look at me, smile and say, "Den," and point to his teeth.

My mother came for the adventure also (daddy had to work). When we got there he loved it! I knew he would because the whole left wall is a big wooden house with shadow boxes and flowers outside. He walked over and smelled them, like he does my flowers. It was so cute. He loved playing in the house, it even had a kitchen like his one at home and a table! Once we were called back he was upset because he had to leave the house but there were even more fun toys in the back! There were no walls in the office, all open bay which is great! You can see everything! It's great they encourage and want the parents back there.

When it was his turn the whole mood changed. He liked Dr. Kugar when they met playing by the toys but now this was scary stuff and boy did he let us know. I have not heard him scream that loud since the day he was born! She was fast and pleasant though! She did exactly what I told him, it took all of maybe 10 min and I held him while his head was in her lap. The longest 10 min. of my dad and his! When she was finished, he was all smiles and back to the toys! Dr. Kugar only sees children which is great and you could tell. I could not have asked for a better dentist! Everything looked great and we will return in 6 months!I am so glad we took him! He sure loves to brush and to let us brush which is great!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!

We had a wonderful time for Marc's Birthday! Grayson and I pulled off his surprise party! He had no idea! My parents came and my sister and her husband along with Marc's dad and Lorri and Shelby and my Grandma. I told Grayson he was very lucky, he had three Grandma's at Daddy's party..wow! Our neighbors, Lou and Chris stopped by also to bring Marc a card and sing Happy Birthday to him. They are such nice people! We love them. It was great to see everyone and spend time together. It meant a lot to us that everyone was able to make it! The food was wonderful and the cake!

Grayson was the center of attention, as usual! He loved every minute of it. He helped Marc open all of his gifts. We had a big Birthday Breakfast this morning. Later on that day after everyone had left, we went on a family bike ride and played outside to end the day. It was so nice to have family here to celebrate Marc's special day!! We love them all so! Grayson and I wanted to make sure Daddy's day was special since he is so special to us!

Memorial Day and more!

We all have been so busy! Grayson had his 18 month check up on May 24, (the day he turned 19 months). He really enjoyed that visit! No shots...yea!!! The Dr. said Grayson was doing great, he is average weight, tall for his age and still has big brains. He was showing off for her! Grayson has really taken off with talking. I didn't realize how much he could say until Marc and I actually began counting, what a vocab!

I have been a bit sick lately so we haven't been able to swim with Holly the past few days, too bad for Grayson. Grandma came over to help out now that she isn't working. That was really nice! Her and Grayson had a good time! Marc's store is going well, busy as usual! He is hard worker! We will be celebrating Marc's 33rd birthday on Sunday, Grayson gets so excited when I tell him it is Daddy's Birthday and it's a surprise!

Memorial Day we went to Grandpa and Grandma's house. They got Grayson a lawn mower. He loves it. He takes it every where, the house, the yard.... any place it will fit. He has become a great mower! Grayson had fun playing with all the new toys at their house and showing off for everyone. Next Tuesday Grayson has his first dental appointment! Wow! I can hear the screaming now. Hopefully it won't be too bad! We'll keep you posted!
