Grayson's Big Birthday Bash

Wow!!! Grayson turns three. I can't believe it. Every year around this time, I get so excited for his birthday and yet there is a part of me that is so sad. My baby keeps getting older! A part of life I know but time just keep speeding past! Well, his birthday was a big celebration. Marc and I spent his big day with him on Friday Oct. 24th, his b-day and then his big bash with all of his friends and family was Saturday. He had a party at the movie theatre that he loves going to! Everyone came and watched a movie, then we had lunch catered there. After lunch came the cake cutting and present opening. Grayson loved seeing all his friends and playing with them! Everyone has so much fun. The kids were screaming and chasing one another all over the party room we reserved, 8 toddlers...imagine that! :) Never a dull moment! We were glad everyone was able to come and celebrate with us. Grandpa and Grandma came for the big bash along with Uncle Mike and Aunt Sarah. Grayson had been talking about it for weeks..literally. He picked out his cake too. He has a thing for 'The Cars' so that was his theme. He really has so many great play mates! He also celebrated his birthday at his MDO (school on Fridays). We took in 'doduts' as Grayson would call them from his favorite place, Taylor's Bakery.

I would say, he had a wonderful 3rd birthday. He had several birthdaycelebrations spent with friends and family and got lots a great gifts! Now that he is three and wearing big boy underwear and doing great I might say, I guess he's not that little baby boy any more! Well, in our eyes he always will be... right!

Riley Days with Grandpa and Grandma

Grayson and I headed to Greenfield to attend Riley Days with Grandpa and Grandma. There was a great kids area for Grayson. He played all the games to win prizes and the best part was watching Grayson get so excited about each game. He threw balls to try and win a gold fish. He also went fishing and won some pirate action figures. He played another game with Grandpa where he picked a number and spun a ball to win yet another prize. In case you don't know, Riley Days is a fall festival held every hear in Greenfield on the first weekend of October with lots of food and booths to shop from. We go every year. It's a tradition for us. Marc and I were able to attend while Grayson was at his MDO on Friday. It was a great weekend.

Florida!!!! Vacation!!!!

As you can see, vacation was a wonderful time for all of us, adults included!!! Grayson is a lucky boy!!! :) What wonderful memories to share as a family with Grayson's Grandparents!! Grayson's Uncle Dan and Aunt Vonnie from Florida even came up to visit with us all for a few days! Grayson enjoyed playing with them.
Next time we go, Baby Mathias will be able to enjoy all the fun also! Grayson even got to meet The Little Einstein's. He has been watching that show since he was a little baby. We like the music to it. He also met Goliath (the Lion from Jo Jo's Circus). Last but not least, what's a visit to Disney without a family photo with Mickey and Minnie!!! :)

Who's the leader of the club ....

Mickey Mouse!!! Grayson knows that song by heart now!! We made it back from vacation but have the Mickey Mouse blues. I am really proud of Grayson. He did so great on the flight! He was such a big boy. Lots of firsts for Grayson on this vacation, first plane ride and bus ride and boat ride!! What a big boy. We had such a blast. We stayed the the Disney Beach Club with Grandpa and Grandma. The weather couldn't have been any more perfect. Sunny every day but one day it rained in the the afternoon. That's pretty good for Florida!! Now the humidity was really thick especially for this time of the year but can't complain!! Grayson ate breakfast with Minnie Mouse, Goofy and Chip the next morning after we arrived. He really got into all the characters. He wanted them to sign his autograph book and get a picture! He also got to eat dinner with the Playhouse Disney gang. Marc and I had a wonderful time watching Grayson get so excited!!
The pool at our resort was unbelievable!! It was like a beach but so much better!! It also had a lazy river in it. While we were there, we went to Disney World, Animal Kingdom and MGM Studios. Grayson met so many fun characters!!! We have so many wonderful memories!! Grayson really enjoyed the water park too! We went to Blizzard Beach. Out little dare devil went down water slides over and over! At Blizzard Beach, they have an area just for tots with slides and all! You know Disney, nothing but the best no matter where you go!
While at Animal Kingdom, Grayson met Pooh, Tiger Eore and Piglet. He hugged and kissed all of them! It was just adorable! Grayson was a guys guy on this vacation. He wanted Daddy and Grandpa nonstop!!! It was funny watching them all walk in a row together. Grayson played at the pool at our hotel resort every day!! They had fun pool games and dancing he really got into. I know our family has really been looking forward to this vacation for a long time and sharing it with Grandpa and Grandma was even better!! Hope you enjoy the photos and yes, we can't wait to return.

Also, baby Mathias is doing great!!! Tossing and moving all around. I am now a little over 4 months now!!! We are all counting down!!! :)

God is watching over us!!!

Well, God has been very busy on our end of the line. About a month ago, Grayson and I were in a horrible accident. We were going to my parents house to go out for dinner and taking the back roads as we always do. We were crossing a very dangerous intersection (it always has been) but I am always very careful there! We were just about across when another car hit us from the side and made us skid and flip over. It was very frightening!!! Needless to say, we made it with just a few scratches!!! It truly was a miracle!!! Grayson was fine and so was I. Everything happened so fast, I had forgotten for a moment I was even pregnant. After getting Grayson home and settled with Daddy, I went to the hospital with my mother and sister for an ultrasound to make sure the baby was safe and sound.

We had to buy another car which is fine considering the damage our car took and to walk away unharmed!! Later that week, we went to follow up Dr. appointments. Life got a little crazy there for a moment. We are all very thankful and know how blessed and lucky we really are. Now I am hoping Grayson will forget about it, he hasn't yet.

Grayson's BIG Announcement!!!!

Grayson has an announcement to make.... he is going to be a big brother!!!! Yea!!!! :) We have been waiting to let everyone know until our first ultrasound which was last Monday! I am almost 10 weeks! I am at that in between stage. I haven't gained but maybe 2 pounds but my body seems to be changing a little already. When we went to the ultrasound Marc and I and Grayson were excited to hear the heart beat and see that little Baby Mathias was alright! The heart sounded great and all the measurements were right where they should be. Baby is developing as it should. I am sorry to report though I am experiencing once again, a great deal of nausea. Not fun but went through it with Grayson. I feel like a baby incubator with feeling so sick and being extremely tired. Hopefully by month 4 it will go away!! :) Marc has been wonderful though through all my early woes.
Well, we are all so excited and can't wait. I couldn't believe when I took the test and it came up positive. We have been waiting for a long time for that positive sign so I knew the day I was able to test. And yes, that is 'The Stick' Grayson is holding!! Grayson said to me when I told him the news, "Mommy got baby in belly!" and pulled up my shirt to look. I know he will be such a good and loving big brother. He is so into babies! I think the age difference will be a blessing. He is old enough to understand now and is such a great helper!! Well, the count down begins to February 27... mark your calendars for the arrival of 'Baby Mathias' and yes, once again, sex will be unknown until birth date!!! :) Yea!!!
In case you are wondering what is on Grayson's face in the last picture... it is shaving cream. He wanted to shave like Daddy so Marc put some on his face and they pretended to shave. Two silly guys!!!

Grayson goes to Monticello

Grayson took a trip to Monticello over 4th of July weekend. He went to visit his cousins, Broderick and Braedon. We had a wonderful visit. When we arrived, Wendy (their mother) made us lunch. Afterwards, we headed over to the pig barn to feed the boys pigs they are raising for the fair. Grayson thought it was just about the neatest thing he had ever seen! He wanted to pet the pigs and feed the pigs. Once we finished feeding the pigs, we headed over to Indiana Beach. Grayson has never ridden on rides before so that was a treat for both of us! I wasn't sure how well he would like the rides but he loved every minute. Wendy's boys were really good with him and took turns riding along with him. I was too big to fit in the kiddie rides. :( So I just stood over there like a scared mom not sure of his reactions. After the first ride, Grayson was a pro! He just laughed and said, "Again Mommy!" I got lots of great pictures of all the boys riding and having so much fun. I remember Wendy and I riding those same rides when we were little. That was a good test run to let me know how Grayson will do at Disney this September and I think he will be great!

Once we left the Beach, it was time for dinner. We went to my favorite...Arnies!!!! Yea! for some yummy junior salads and pizza!!! When we returned back to Wendy's house, the boys got on their swim suits and headed out for some slip and slide fun!!! What a long fun day! The ride home was just as good as the ride there. Grayson and I were wore out when we arrived back at our house but it was an exciting and fun filled day!!! Grayson just loves his older cousins, Bro and Brae!!
