Scooby Doo! Where are you!

Grayson has been keeping busy as usual. Last week was Palmer's 4th birthday party and they also moved over the weekend. Very sad to see them go but I know we will all stay close. Grayson hasn't walked down to their former house yet looking for Palmer and Lily. Palmer's party was all about Scooby Doo!! Yea! Grayson has also made a few stops to the Children's Museum. Grandma went with us this last time. Grandma bought Grayson a new Curious George book in the gift shop that is really neat. Grayson loves that monkey!

Grayson has also made trips to the library, that is always a fun free treat! He loves looking at the aquarium there and playing with the Lego table and counting steps as we walk up and down. He is getting really good with counting and ABC's. Daddy has been teaching him to count in Spanish. Grayson and Daddy flew their Spider Man kite the other day. I think Marc enjoyed it as much if not more than Grayson. Playing outside again had been so nice. Grayson now has a really nice swing set to play on thanks to Palmer and Lily. We are keeping it for the season. It is the one we want to buy so that works out great. We get to try it before we buy it. :) We already new we liked it from playing down at Palmer's.

We made a trip to the zoo yesterday. It was perfect! The weather could not have been any better. We began our adventure by petting the sharks. Grayson just loves that. We went by the petting farm and then to the desert. We observed the pretty flowers in bloom and fed the birds. We will be making many more trips with our pass this year. We will frequent it as much as we do the museum, until it gets really hot. But, they are adding a splash pad to the zoo. Fun! :) Grayson is at Mother's Day Out right now so I thought I would play a little catch up on blogging. Macie (our dog) got a walk all to herself today. It was a treat. Grayson is usually with us and these days, setting in the stroller to walk has not been a favorite. He is really good with walking and holding my hand, so I pretty much just let him walk where ever we go and bring the stroller or wagon (which he insists upon pulling) as back up in case he wants to rest.

Marc is getting ready to open up his Qdoba so things will get a little crazy around here for about a month or so. He will be working really hard getting that off and going. He will be at the new mall out here. Enjoy this weather and don't forget your sun screen! :)

The Easter Bunny Rock!

Wow! The month of March has come and gone. We celebrated Grandma's birthday. Grayson was all to excited to blow out the candles and open her cards and presents! We have actually been playing outside again here and there. All the gang is out and about again, romping around! :) Grayson has been enjoying his normal play dates. We went to 'That Fun Place' in Greenfield for pizza and games. It was busy for once with some of the schools already out for break.

Grayson also made a trip to the Children's Museum. The staircase was a slide again...Vacation Nation' they called it. Grayson got some sun glasses too! He loves Curious George as you can see. We had to make our normal stop at Play Scape! It was nice to be able to go again without worrying if Grayson would catch something from some other kid who was sick. We are finally over all of that! At least we have only had colds on a positive note accompanied with an ear infection.

Grayson loved Easter even more this year! He had so much fun coloring eggs. He wanted to do it all by himself. On Easter morning, Grayson was excited to go downstairs and see what the bunny had brought him. Finding hidden Easter eggs was even more fun. The Easter Bunny even made a trip to Grandpa and Grandma's with a special basket!

Well, we have a musician in the family. Grayson! and is he a natural. My parents have a drum set at their house that is made for toddlers. The last time we visited, Grandpa brought it up form the basement. Grayson hopped on there and played like he had been doing it for years. He even knew how to work the kick drum. He played a round and then stood up and bowed. How he knew that, I will never now but it was about the cutest thing I have ever seen. He was so proud of his concert performance, he even came back for the encore! He is our August Rush.

Grayson also got another hair cut. He does so well I am proud to say and thankful! We actually had them use the clippers not just around the neck and ears but all over (except the top). He looks like such a big boy even more so! Well, that is about it for now! Off to play and catch up on Arthur.

Super Friends

Grayson went to play date this past Wednesday at Palmer and Lily's. The boys had fun dressing up as Spider Man. Grayson even wanted to dress up too just like Kameron and Palmer. They were shooting webs at one another and creeping along the floor like Spider Man does and can't forget the wrestling. It was so cute to watch Grayson imitating them. He wanted to be 'one of the boys'. We had lunch at Lily and Palmer's and Kameron and his mom (Angie) brought cup cakes. That is always a huge hit with all of them! Especially Grayson!!

Grayson went and saw the Easter Bunny last week after we got new shoes. I had not planned on taking him. I thougtht we could just look at him but to my surprise he went right over to him, held his hand, gave him knuckles (while checking him out) and hopped right on his lap. I couldn't believe it! So needless to say, we got a picture and it turned out great! Yea!!!:) I was so proud of him! Afterwards, we headed down to get a pretzels, Grayson's favorite! He kept telling me while we were getting his shoes, "Get Pretzel Mommy!".

Jump! Jump! Jump Around!

Grayson is our little jumper these days. He was showing everyone at Grandpa and Grandma's how to jump, even Aunt Sarah. Spring is almost here. (yea!) It was nice to play outside a few weeks ago when it got really warm. Grayson ran all over the place! He had to make his usual stop at Palmer's. Hopefully soon, playing outside can be part of our daily routine again. We are all doing better but still on the way to recovery. It has been a long season. Grayson is still getting over his ear infection and sinusitis. We had to visit the doctor yesterday for a follow up. I am still recovering from surgery. It has been a long process. I am still going through lots of testing and am looking forward to it ALL being resolved. Marc's job is going well. He has gotten a few bugs this season too and he never gets sick.

Grayson went to Holly's last Wednesday for her birthday party. All of the kids had fun seeing one another. Soon it will be Palmer's birthday. Him and Holly both turn 4 this year, so hard to believe.

Grayson's school is going well. He had pictures taken last Friday. I can't wait to see them. They even did a class photo. (how cute!) Grayson got another hair cut the other day and did good. He wasn't sure at first but then insisted upon getting a hair cut. He has become our repeater word for word and Mr. Talk A Lot. His teacher's made a comment on how much he repeats and talks. We will just keep jumping, playing play dough, making fun messes,, doing crafts and wait for spring to arrive. As you can see, Daddy and Grayson are very creative with play dough. They made 'Super Grover'.

Good Night Sleep Tight

Grayson was such a ham at bed time. We wanted to share our bedtime routine. Grayson heads up for bath fun and bubbles at 6:00pm. We get undressed. Grayson takes off his pants and diaper and heads to the potty to stand and aim and sit on it for a sticker to add to his potty chart. Afterwards, we head for the tub to tackle the bubbles. We begin with a wash and then shampoo the hair. Grayson turns the bath into an adventure under the sea with lots of splashing and sticking his face in the water. After bath, we dry off and play cave with the towel. We then brush our teeth with our Spider Man spin brush and Spider Man tooth paste and floss our teeth.

Next, we make a mad dash into the bedroom where we run around naked and Grayson throws himself into his bed. We get lotioned up, dressed and head into the loft for a short show where we snuggle on the couch. We watch Scooby-Doo usually, sometimes Arthur, Ooobi or Wiggles. After that we head into his room where we read lots of books, say our prayer and get tucked into bed and turn on the projector. It is now 7:00pm and off to sleepy town for a good nights rest to begin a new day! Grayson wanted to wear his fire hat this evening during his show and pose for the camera. He loves Spider Man as you can see from his sheets. The quilt on his bed was made by his Aunt Pam. The quilt was made from his baby blankets we would swaddle him in. It is good to Grayson!:)

Will You Be Mine.....Valentine!

Grayson had a good Valentines Day with Daddy and Mommy. We had some holiday cupcakes along with candy and cards. Grayson got some new books (he loves his books). Grayson made valentine cards for me and Marc so that was really sweet. He made one at school and then some with Grandma. Grayson and I put together valentines for his friends at school and his play friends and family. We had fun. On Valentine's Day, Grandpa and Grandma stopped by to eat at Qdoba with us and give Grayson his Valentine's present from them. Grayson got some paints and alphabet flash cards (which he loves). Grayson wanted Grandpa to ride in the car with us on the way home. He sure loves his Grandparents.

Grayson has been busy playing with Grandpa and Grandma who have been over to visit and also Uncle Mike and Aunt Sarah. Grayson has been playing lots of play dough with me and Daddy! He's been adventuresome as usual. He has also played with Palmer and Lily a few times. What ever Palmer does, Grayson does! Grayson follows him around like none other! Grayson is on the up swing of a cold that he got about a week ago. Still has a runny nose. Today we are headed to Grandpa and Grandma's for a visit and some dinner. We have been going to the library lately for videos and books. After one day, Grayson already knew the names of his new library books and is ready to go back, "Get new books," he says so tomorrow when we return our videos, we will pick up some new books again. I am so glad that he loves to read. Grayson's latest is fixing mommy's hair. He loves to run his fingers through my hair and then back and forth. It's the latest trend in hair fashion.

Mirror Mirror on the Wall, Who's the Cutest of Them All

Grayson as you can see could not get enough of himself in the mirror. A life size reflection of himself, could life get any better! Grandpa and Grandma have a mirror in his play room up stairs that Grayson enjoys running back and forth in front of. Grayson went for a visit on Saturday to their house. We had burritos and dip, yum! yum! Grayson runs around their house like he owns it. As far as Grandpa and Grandma are concerned, he does.

Grayson got a hair cut last week and did great! He was a bit unsure at first and started to get upset but then he did great and sat there while she cut his hair. I read to him while she trimmed. I also had him watch another guy in there who was getting his hair cut at the same time. They were using the clippers on the other man like they do Daddy. Grayson sure love his Pablo stuffed animals and yes, he has quite a few along with the rest of the other characters from the Back Yardigans.

Well, the groundhog saw his shadow and we all know what that means! We sang our groundhog song on Saturday and Grayson put on his groundhog hat he made at school. He prefers his Indian hat with feathers. He was protesting and wanted Daddy to wear the groundhog hat.
